Job summary

NextGen Security LLC seeks an experienced Security Systems Maintenance Technician to join our team onsite in the Baltimore region. This role covers field project oversight, system programming, activation, commissioning, and ongoing maintenance of high-end security devices.

The position is full-time, onsite at customer locations in Baltimore, MD, with a strong emphasis on safety, independent work, and customer service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years installing and maintaining access control systems and IP-based video systems.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and maintain high-end security devices.
• Familiarity with local electronic security codes and industry standards.

Security Systems Maintenance Technician – Onsite

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking an electronic security service technician to join our fast growing and dynamic team.

What You’ll Be Doing

This position will have multiple roles ranging from: field project oversight, system programming, project activation and commissioning, installation of field devices, and most importantly, troubleshooting and maintenance of high-end integrated security devices.

This position will be based full time at customer locations in the Baltimore region.

What You Bring To The Table

• Minimum of 2 years of experience with installing and maintaining:
• Knowledge of access control systems.
• Knowledge of video management systems (IP-based).
• Networking and IT knowledge.
• Superior problem solving and communication skills.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• Familiarization with local electronic security codes and industry standards.
• Understanding and ability to work safely.
• Ability to safely operate a company vehicle.
• Experience with MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS Project and other Microsoft products.

Preferred

• Access Control System Vendor Certifications in DSX, Software House and Genetec.
• Video Management System Vendor Certifications in Digital Watch Dog and Genetec.
• Experience in computer operating systems, network design and implementation.
