Job summary

Allied Business Solutions in Boise, Idaho is seeking a Senior Systems & Network Engineer to serve as the top escalation point for our helpdesk and NOC teams. This onsite role requires a deep technical expert who can own the hardest tickets, perform root-cause analysis, and mentor junior staff.

You will design, implement, and support advanced solutions across networking, servers, and cloud environments, collaborating with vendors on escalated cases and contributing to knowledge bases and runbooks.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure support or systems/network engineering.
• Experience with multiple vendors in complex environments (firewalls, switches, VPNs).
• Proficient in Windows Server services (AD, DNS, DHCP, GPO).
• Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware/Hyper-V).
• Knowledge of M365 services and endpoints.
• Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery solutions.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the final escalation point for complex IT infrastructure issues.
• Perform root cause analysis and document findings to reduce repeat incidents.
• Design, implement, and support advanced solutions across networking, server, and cloud environments.
• Lead troubleshooting of enterprise-level issues with multi-vendor setups.
• Mentor Tier 1 and Tier 2 technicians through knowledge transfer.
