Job summary
State of Idaho, Information Technology Services, is seeking an IT Network Engineer III in Boise to manage enterprise, datacenter, and service provider networks across state agencies. The role requires hands-on configuration, network design, and 24/7 operations support.
The ideal candidate will have CCNA or higher, Arista/Cisco experience, and strong routing/switching proficiency, including MPLS, OSPF, IS-IS, and related technologies. Some travel and on-call duties are expected.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years of LAN/WAN work experience in a medium/large environment.
- CCNA or higher certification required.
- Experience configuring Cisco/Arista routing and switching in data center/service provider environments.
- Knowledge of Cisco IOS-XE/XR, NX-OS, Arista EOS and IP address management.
Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on support and management of statewide network operations 24/7.
- Configure and manage switches, routers, and related network devices.
- Develop and maintain network diagrams and documentation.
- Lead and participate in network design, deployment, and troubleshooting.
