Job summary

Epiroc seeks a Senior Software Tester to lead validation efforts and design testing strategies across multiple systems. You will mentor junior testers, collaborate with engineering to refine requirements, and ensure high-quality releases through thorough testing.

Requirements include a CS/CE/SE degree, 5–10 years in testing, knowledge of testing methodologies, troubleshooting skills, and CI/CD awareness. Onsite role with standard M–F hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Software Engineering (or equivalent).
• 5-10 years of software or system testing experience.
• Strong understanding of functional and non-functional testing methods.
• Experience troubleshooting complex systems.
• Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools.
• Experience with testing concepts (black/white box, load, performance, scalability, smoke, integration, regression).
• Experience with performance or scalability testing.
• Basic automation or scripting experience.
• Experience with distributed or networked systems.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tooling.
• Experience mentoring or leading small teams.
• Exposure to data analysis or metrics-driven validation.
• Experience with Atlassian Products, JAMA, Visual Studio Code.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Lead validation efforts across multiple systems and environments.
• Identify, document, and prioritize defects with detailed analysis.
• Guide and mentor junior testers.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to refine requirements and test coverage.
• Perform root cause analysis on complex system issues.
• Analyze system behavior and performance under different conditions.
• Contribute to process improvements and test strategy development.
• Configure, deploy and improve testing infrastructure and environments.
