Job summary

EPITEC in Mossville, IL seeks a Systems Engineer to support integration, testing, and validation of advanced machine technologies in lab and field environments. You will install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software on production machines, and collect data for analysis.

The role requires hands-on work with sensors and data acquisition systems, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and documentation of validation plans, test procedures, and reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field.
• 2–5+ years of engineering experience.
• Experience with Linux or related OS.
• Experience with CAN tools or related communication tools.
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
• Ability to independently plan and execute testing activities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and support machine-based data collection systems and connectivity.
• Install, configure, calibrate, and troubleshoot cameras, radar, LiDAR, GPS, and data acquisition hardware.
• Collect, process, validate, and analyze machine data.
• Execute system integration, verification, and validation testing activities.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, networking, and machine integration issues.
• Perform testing at proving grounds and customer locations.
• Develop technical documentation, validation plans, test procedures, and reports.
• Collaborate with systems, controls, software, validation, and product support teams.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to testing, data quality, and system performance.
