Job summary

RTX is seeking a dedicated Software Test Engineer for its Huntsville, AL site. The role involves reviewing software requirements, designing test cases (manual and automated), and executing tests in our on-site lab environment.

Collaboration with Systems Design engineering and the Software Development Team is essential, with light travel possible. Candidates should have a STEM degree, 5+ years in software testing, and US citizenship for DoD clearance.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in STEM or related field and at least 5 years of experience in software testing.
Experience with validation, verification, requirements analysis and testing.
Knowledge of software testing methodologies (functional, integration, regression, performance).
Ability to obtain and maintain DoD security clearance; US citizenship required.
Active Secret clearance preferred.

Responsibilities

Review software requirements to ensure clarity and testability.
Write clear test objectives guiding testing and coverage.
Design manual and automated test cases based on objectives.
Execute test cases in on-site lab environment.
Analyze test results, document discrepancies, and report to stakeholders.
Collaborate with test engineers and developers for integration and functionality.
