Job summary

Jacobs in Fishkill, NY is seeking a driven Project Engineer to join our PM/CM team and contribute to delivering complex projects on time and on budget. You’ll support the Senior PM with RFI tracking, contract document review, cost forecasting and change-order reviews on active assignments.

Working on site with the client, you’ll coordinate trades, monitor craftworkers, prepare reports, minutes of meetings, and ensure QA/QC, safety and project quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in an Engineering discipline, Construction Management or Architecture is required or partial fulfillment with related education
• 2 years of experience on larger projects valued above $10 million
• Experience with RFI tracking, contract document review, forecast and cost scheduling, and change order review
• Knowledge of pre-design and pre-construction, delivery systems and components
• Experience inspecting large scale building construction projects and knowledge of Uniform Building Code
• Proficient with basic computer skills and scheduling applications
• OSHA 30 certification is required

Responsibilities

• Provide effective project management on active projects coordinating trades and design-field staff
• Support Senior Project Manager with RFI tracking, contract document review, forecast and cost scheduling
• Prepare change order reviews and review of payments
• Assist D&C or consulting with PM/EIC with payment applications and meeting minutes
• Prepare regular reports and conduct field inspections as required
