Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking a Senior Payroll Analyst to join on-site in Tampa, FL. You will manage bi-weekly UKG Pro payrolls, review timekeeping, and perform reconciliations with no direct reports, in a contract setting.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of payroll experience, strong UKG Pro and Excel skills, and a solid grasp of payroll tax rules and compliance. You will collaborate with payroll teammates and finance to ensure accurate payroll processing.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of payroll processing experience.
• Hands-on experience with UKG Pro payroll and timekeeping.
• Experience auditing and correcting employee time records.
• Strong payroll reconciliation and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of payroll tax regulations, wage-and-hour compliance, and payroll best practices.
• Proficiency in Excel and payroll reporting.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly payroll transactions, including compensation changes, deductions, adjustments, and other payroll-related activities.
• Review, audit, and process employee timekeeping records within UKG Pro to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies, timecard issues, and employee payroll inquiries.
• Coordinate payroll activities related to new hires, transfers, status changes, and terminations.
• Prepare payroll reconciliations and balancing reports.
• Process off-cycle payrolls and manual payroll checks as needed.
• Assist managers and department timekeepers with payroll and timekeeping questions.
• Maintain payroll records while ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
• Support payroll audits and compliance with federal, state, and wage-and-hour regulations.
• Assist with payroll tax documentation and reporting activities.
