TekWissen® is seeking a Senior Organic Chemist for a six-month, onsite assignment with a global biotechnology client. The role involves hands-on bench organic synthesis from 100 mg to 500 g, reaction optimization, and process troubleshooting in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Required: Master’s in Organic Chemistry with 5+ years of applicable experience; PhD with 2+ years preferred. Strong writing, collaboration, and safety skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Master's degree with 5+ years of applicable experience; PhD with 2+ years preferred.
• Experience in multi-step organic synthesis from 100 mg to 500 g scale and related purification/characterization.
• Proficiency with chromatography and analytical methods; air- and moisture-free techniques.

Responsibilities

• Perform multi-step organic synthesis from 100 mg to 500 g scale.
• Optimize reactions and troubleshoot processes.
• Review historical manufacturing records and interpret data to determine appropriate processes.
• Collaborate with senior staff to resolve process issues and support manufacturing execution.
• Develop weekly work plans and coordinate team resources to meet quality and timelines.
• Follow schedules and be flexible for overtime and occasional weekend work.
• Maintain high safety standards and proper handling of laboratory equipment and chemicals.
• Document synthetic procedures accurately and concisely.
• Work with peers and leadership to achieve team objectives.
