Job summary

AbbVie is seeking an MES Engineer to design, validate, and maintain electronic batch records and recipes within MES platforms in our pharmaceutical operations. This role reports into the Digital Systems organization and emphasizes incident management, change control, and quality alignment with GMP standards.

The ideal candidate will have a strong MES background, experience with MBRs/EBRs, system integration, and a proactive approach to troubleshooting in a fast paced environment.

Qualifications

• BS in engineering, science, or related field with strong engineering/operational experience.
• Knowledge of MES solutions (POMSnet Aquila, PharmaSuite, Syncade, Werum PAS-X).
• Familiarity with ISA-88/ISA-95 standards.
• Ability to translate paper records to digital formats and sustain GMP calidad.

Responsibilities

• Design, author, configure, and verify MBRs/EBRs using MES platforms.
• Support data flow between MES and ERP/LIMS/automation.
• Analyze manufacturing requirements and translate to digital formats.
• Lead change management and continuous improvement in recipes.
• Perform testing of MES recipes and system changes.
• Provide technical support during live production and resolve incidents.
