Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Sr. Facilities Manager to lead hard and soft services for a Life Sciences flagship HQ client site in Greensboro, NC.

This on-site role works Monday–Friday with limited travel and focuses on building operations, staff leadership, budgeting, and regulatory compliance. The role requires 5–8 years in facilities leadership, a Bachelor’s degree (Facility Management certification preferred), and strong MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is preferred with 5–8 years of relevant experience. Driver’s license required. Facility Management certification preferred.
• Experience leading Facilities Management Operations in Life Sciences or related regulated industry.
• Experience in staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision to employees; track training and development; conduct performance evaluations and coaching; oversee hiring.
• Coordinate and manage daily team activities; set work schedules and cross-train staff.
• Coordinate facility repairs/maintenance with technicians, vendors, and contractors.
• Maintain positive client relationships; conduct meetings on unresolved facility issues.
• Prepare/manage large capital projects, operating budgets, and variance reports.
• Inspect facilities for quality assurance; suggest/implement efficiencies and improvements.
• Create environmental health and safety procedures for facilities.
• Develop vendor relationships and oversee invoicing; review/approve purchase orders.
• Apply broad knowledge to achieve team/department objectives.
• Lead by example; promote CBRE RISE values.
• Identify/solve technical and operational problems of complexity.
• Understand broader departmental impact.
• Improve/change methods, processes, and standards within job discipline.
