Job summary

Astronics Connectivity Systems & Certification (Astronics CSC) in Waukegan, IL, is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer, Production Support, to ensure smooth transition from development to production and to support regulatory testing. You will lead PCBA design and BOM management, verify tests, mentor interns, and collaborate with vendors while applying ISO 9001/14000 and AS9100 practices.

Strong expertise in Altium, C/C++, Python, Linux, and hands-on production support are required, with on-site

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical and/or Computer Engineering from an accredited university with 10+ years’ experience.
• ECAD experience for schematic capture and layout (Altium Designer preferred).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; team player and self-starter.

Responsibilities

• Design PCBA including BOM management, revision control, and hardware bring-up.
• Develop and test hardware with high-speed interfaces up to 10 Gbps and wireless modules.
• Mentor interns and junior engineers; support transfer of designs to production.
