Astronics AES in Redmond, WA is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer, Product Support - Power Electronics Systems, to join the Airborne Power Control (APC) Product Team in Redmond. You will provide electrical engineering support across design, development, production and customer support of APC power electronics systems, focusing on problem prevention, data analysis, and test activities.

The role requires a BS in Electrical/Electronics Engineering and 5+ years of related experience.

Qualifications

Astronics Advanced Electrical Systems (AES) is seeking a passionate and driven Senior Electrical Engineer, Product Support - Power Electronics Systems to join our Airborne Power Control (APC) Product Team in Redmond, WA.

This role is primarily on-site, but we value flexibility and allow occasional remote work based on project requirements.

JOB SUMMARY

As a Senior Electrical Engineer on our Product Support Team, you will be integral in providing electrical engineering support in the design, development, production, and customer support of Aircraft Power Control (APC) power electronics systems.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Actively participates in problem prevention and resolution. Identifies the root cause of problems and determines and leads the appropriate corrective action
• Review, prepare, design, analyze, and test data to ensure their accuracy and appropriateness.
• Coordinate, prepare, and review technical drawings, documents and data items related to the incorporation of alternative components
• Operate standard lab equipment to perform design verification and circuit testing and the ability to use engineering software tools
• Coordinate, organize, and participate in analysis, design, development and qualifications as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education

• Requires a bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering from an accredited institution.

Experience

• Demonstrates competency - typically 5 or more years of direct experience in relevant areas, particularly power electronics, power supply design, motor control, and analog design.
• Demonstrates sound knowledge of electronic/electrical circuits and components with ability to view schematics and describe the operations of various circuits.
• Adept understanding of Ohm's Law & Op Amps
• Possess some knowledge of and experience designing to DO-160 and other standards.
• Proficient at using schematic tool, enterprise tools, and standard simulation tool.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary Range: $102,687 - $154,031 annually (Mid-point: $128,359 ). Factors such as education, experience, skills, market conditions and peer equity influence the actual salary. It is not typical to be hired at or near the top of the range.
• Bonus: Highly competitive Quarterly Profit Sharing Bonus.
