Job summary

PD Power Systems LLC is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer/Designer to design electrical and control systems for power generation and distribution. You will collaborate with Mechanical Designers to integrate controls and ensure compatibility with PLCs and HMIs.

Requirements include a 4-year Electrical Engineering degree with 10+ years of hands-on experience, or a 2-year degree with 15+ years in design. Travel up to 20% is expected; strong CAD skills (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) are essential.

Qualifications

Education: 4-year Electrical Engineering degree with 10+ years of hands-on experience. OR
Education: 2-year technical college degree/military experience with 15+ years of electrical & controls design.
Experience designing electrical control systems and power distribution for generation equipment.
Proficient with AutoCAD and SolidWorks for electrical drawings and schematics.

Responsibilities

Prepare, edit and maintain electrical schematics, panel diagrams, cable assemblies, and wiring drawings using AutoCAD.
Create, maintain and troubleshoot PLC systems.
Source components based on customer requirements and specs.
Collaborate with engineering team and suppliers to develop the product.
