Job summary

Firebird AST is seeking an onsite Senior-Level Declassification/FOIA Analyst to support the Habeas Corpus Contract in Crystal City, VA. The role requires an active TS/SCI with CI polygraph.

Responsibilities include classification/declassification reviews, FOIA and PA processing, redactions, and ensuring compliance with DoD standards. Candidates should have 12+ years of analysis on classified projects, strong MS Office skills, and the ability to work independently while delivering thorough,

Qualifications

• 12 years of experience in declassification/FOIA analysis.
• Experience with Declassification and EO 13526.
• Experience processing FOIA requests.
• Knowledge of FOIA exemptions b(4), b(5), b(6).
• Redacting records containing sensitive information.
• Experience handling classified projects and safeguarding procedures.
• Ability to perform in-depth reviews and document dispositions.

Responsibilities

• Perform security classification/declassification reviews and identify classification levels.
• Conduct FOIA/PA reviews and process requests.
• Analyze documents under 5 U.S.C. and EO 13526 guidance.
• Identify document markings and ensure proper redactions.
• Determine release eligibility and exemptions and refer or release appropriately.
• Review FOIA/PA requests for completeness and processing.
