Job summary

Hitachi Energy in the United States seeks a Corporate Real Estate Senior CAPEX Project Manager to lead complex capital construction programs from pre-planning through closeout, ensuring schedule, budget, quality, and safety compliance.

You will coordinate with internal teams, external partners, suppliers, and third-party firms while aligning with sustainability goals and corporate priorities to deliver high‑performance facilities for the power sector.

Qualifications

• Must have work authorization to work in the United States.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 15+ years of experience or equivalent.
• Proven abilities in project or program execution, especially in construction or capital projects.
• Adept with financial processes related to construction and capital projects, including asset amortization and accounts payable in a shared service setting.
• Proficient with MS Office 365 tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint) and collaboration platforms.
• Advanced abilities with Microsoft Project or similar PM tools.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and construction-related tools, plus reporting tools for project oversight.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead all phases of corporate real estate construction projects from pre-planning to completion and post‑completion.
• Develop project plans, timelines, scope documents, budgets, and risk management approaches to deliver on time and within approved financials.
• Oversee 3rd‑party firms and internal contributors to define tasks, drive progress, and maintain milestones.
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, acting as the primary contact for project matters.
• Monitor project execution to ensure compliance with building codes, safety rules, and company policies.
• Conduct studies and data research to support project choices, improvements, and financial evaluations.
• Prepare capital investment budgets, future project pricing, and required approvals through internal tools and processes.
• Align project plans with corporate sustainability aims and organizational goals.
• Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
