Job summary

Experis Technology Group client in medical device manufacturing seeks a Senior Buyer to join the Supply Chain & Procurement team in Pleasanton, CA. You will support manufacturing operations by sourcing direct materials, components, and indirect services.

The ideal candidate will have strong supplier relationship management, experience in regulated environments, and proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and advanced Excel to keep materials flowing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
• 5+ years of purchasing/procurement experience in regulated manufacturing (medical device/pharma).
• Experience managing direct materials and contract manufacturers.
• Strong knowledge of FDA-regulated environments and supplier quality requirements.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems such as Oracle, SAP, NetSuite, or JD Edwards and advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manage procurement for direct materials, components, assemblies, and indirect goods.
• Develop sourcing strategies optimizing cost, quality, delivery, and supplier performance.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and supplier terms in regulated environment.
• Create and manage purchase orders through ERP/MRP to support demand and production.
• Monitor supplier delivery, address risks, and lead supplier performance reviews.
