Job summary

A leading midstream energy company in Houston, TX seeks a senior AWS DevOps/Platform Engineer III to design, build, and operate scalable AWS infrastructure and DevOps processes for AI, Data Science, and Application workloads across pipeline, storage, and processing operations.

This is a hands-on, senior role with Terraform and GitHub-based deployment experience; work with Platform, DevOps, and DataOps Engineers to advance IaC, SaC, and CI/CD practices.

Qualifications

• Senior-level AWS DevOps/Platform Engineer with 5+ years in AWS.
• Extensive experience with Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Hands-on Kubernetes experience (EKS) and container orchestration.
• Proficient in Python, Bash/Shell scripting.
• Experience with CI/CD and GitHub-based workflows.
• Security as Code and IaC/SaC concepts.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain Infrastructure as Code across multi-account AWS environments
• Build, improve, automate, and shift-left CI/CD pipelines using GitHub-based workflows
• Automate deployment of AWS resources such as EKS, S3, and Lambda
• Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot workloads on Kubernetes (EKS)
• Implement security/compliance policies at resource and repository level
• Integrate pipelines with third-party IAM tools
• Support deployment automation across diverse clusters and data platforms
• Support complex pipelines spanning multi-cloud, multi-platform, and on-premises systems
• Mentor mid-level and junior engineers
• Communicate clearly with internal stakeholders
• Occasional travel to West Houston office
