Trust Automation in California seeks a Senior Accountant – Project and Cost to manage project setup, cost tracking, and contract financial records in D365 for government and cost-type contracts. This role supports month-end close, revenue recognition, and audits.

You will own the D365 F&O actual costing close, analyze BOM variances, and coordinate with Program Management, Contracts, Sales, Operations, and Accounting to ensure reliable project and cost reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience; manufacturing or government contracting preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems required; Microsoft Dynamics D365 strongly preferred.
• Solid understanding of GAAP and core accounting processes.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgement.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Manage project setup and maintenance in D365 F&O’s Project Management and Accounting for government or cost-type contracts.
• Maintain project hierarchies, subprojects, and cost tracking structures.
• Monitor funding and budgets; communicate variances to stakeholders.
• Prepare data for month-end close and revenue recognition.
• Lead inventory close, actual costing, and BOM variance analyses.
• Review production orders and reconcile inventory valuation and WIP balances.
• Provide backup support and assist audits.
