ERMCO, a leading manufacturer of distribution transformers, is seeking a Senior Accountant to own core accounting processes with operations and finance leadership. You will gain visibility into product costing, cost movements, and financial insights to support decision making in a stable manufacturing environment.

This on-site role in Athens, GA offers relocation assistance and opportunities to drive process improvement, GAAP compliance, and cross-functional collaboration across the business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, cost accounting, and inventory accounting.
• Proficiency with Excel and ERP data analytics.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end close, journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Analyze manufacturing cost and inventory variances and provide insights.
• Maintain standard costing data and lead annual cost roll activities.
• Oversee inventory accounting, counts, reconciliations, and variances.
• Maintain fixed asset records, capitalization, and depreciation.
• Reconcile complex balance sheets and resolve issues.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and internal reporting.
• Collaborate with procurement, operations, and plant teams.
• Assist audits and strengthen internal controls.
