Job summary

Innovative Consulting & Management Services (ICMS) in McLean, VA is seeking a Security Supervisor to oversee contract security operations at the assigned facility, ensuring protection of personnel, visitors, property, and assets. The role provides direct supervision of security personnel and liaison with contract managers and government representatives.

The position requires a Level II Security Guard License with at least five years of supervisory experience in security, including 24/7

Qualifications

• Must possess a Level II Security Guard License throughout employment.
• Minimum five years of progressively responsible security supervisory experience.
• Experience supervising 24/7 security personnel.
• Working knowledge of physical security principles and access control systems.
• Experience developing, implementing, and enforcing security policies and SOPs.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and oversee the daily activities of all assigned security personnel.
• Conduct routine and unannounced inspections of security guards to verify compliance with contract requirements and procedures.
• Ensure security duties are performed to high standards of quality, safety, and customer service.
• Monitor security operations for access control, patrols, incident response and protection of personnel and property.
• Review logs and reports for completeness, accuracy and compliance.
• Develop and revise security policies, procedures, and SOPs as needed.
• Coordinate with Contract Manager, Government representatives, and stakeholders on security matters.
• Schedule staffing and ensure uninterrupted security coverage.
• Provide guidance and training to security personnel and ensure policy compliance.
• Communicate changes to procedures and emergency protocols to staff.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies and ensure proper notifications.
• Investigate security incidents and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure licenses and training are current for all personnel.
