Job summary

Everforth Apex seeks a SEA Systems Engineer 2 in Woodland Hills, CA (onsite) to lead cross-functional teams, manage baselines, and ensure seamless hardware-software transitions to production. The role requires generating and maintaining critical system artifacts and mentoring junior engineers.

Responsibilities include design reviews, ICD maintenance, verification leadership, and rigorous change impact analyses while leveraging DOORS, CAMEO, and MATLAB. Secret clearance is preferred.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated systems-engineering experience, preferably in aerospace or defense.
• Ability to obtain a DOD Secret clearance within a reasonable timeframe.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional teams and manage baselines for hardware-software systems.
• Develop and maintain system architectures and perform trade studies.
• Organize design reviews and coordinate with customers, suppliers and partners.
• Collaborate with integration and test teams; maintain ICDs and test matrices.
• Lead verification, analyze results, resolve discrepancies and close loops.
• Manage baseline configuration items and impact analyses for changes.
• Author System Requirements Documents, ICDs, design descriptions and risk registers.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Drive process improvements in configuration-management practices.
