Job summary

Belcan seeks a SEA Systems Engineer 2 to support the Systems Engineering department in Woodland Hills, CA. On-site role requiring an active Secret Clearance, responsible for baselining hardware/software, leading cross-functional teams, and ensuring smooth transition to production.

The candidate will develop architectures, lead design reviews, manage ICDs, and drive verification to meet CDR requirements. 12-month engagement with pay up to $94.89/hr, starting immediately.

Qualifications

• Experience in aerospace or defense preferred.
• Proficient with DOORS, CAMEO, MATLAB or comparable software.

Responsibilities

• Develop the technical baseline by capturing and finalizing requirements and maintain full traceability.
• Develop functional and physical system architectures and conduct trade studies.
• Lead design reviews with customers, suppliers and certification bodies; drive actions to closure.
• Collaborate with integration and test teams; maintain ICDs and create test matrices for HIL/SIL.
• Lead verification, analyze results, resolve discrepancies and close verification loops.
• Manage baseline configuration items and conduct impact analyses.
• Author and maintain CDR artifacts and produce status reports and presentations.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote cross-functional knowledge sharing.
• Drive continuous improvement in configuration-management practices.
