Job summary

ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated School Social Worker to support students and families in a near-Coldwater, MI location. The role runs the 2026-2027 academic year, averaging a 35-hour week, with an onsite schedule and collaborative team environment.

You will conduct assessments, develop intervention plans, participate in IEP meetings, and connect families with community resources. The district emphasizes flexibility to align caseloads with staff strengths and student needs.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Michigan Social Worker license.
• Experience working in school settings or with children/adolescents.
• Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations, staff and families.
• Commitment to compassionate, student-centered support.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct social-emotional and behavioral support to students.
• Conduct assessments, maintain documentation, and develop intervention plans.
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to meet student needs.
• Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary teams, and crisis intervention.
• Serve as a resource for students and families, connecting them to community resources.
• Promote a positive, inclusive school culture through preventative and responsive services.
