Job summary

Linchpin Solutions, Inc. is hiring a Satellite Operations Center Technician in Tampa, FL. This role provides Tier 1/2 satellite and network operations support for a global TDMA/IP network and involves monitoring, configuration, and after-hours shift work onsite.

The ideal candidate has SATCOM experience, familiarity with iDirect systems, TCP/IP, Linux/Unix, and strong communication skills. A TS/SCI clearance is required, with Security+ and CCNA preferred within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of SATCOM experience or equivalent.
• Experience with iDirect Hub solutions, TCP/IP and general networking.
• Experience with Linux/Unix.
• CompTIA Security+ and CCNA are preferred.
• One year education or directly related experience in network operations center support duties.

Responsibilities

• Continuously monitor network and satellite space segment performance to provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support.
• Remotely troubleshoot VSAT systems via iDirect software.
• Resolve customer issues related to broadband IP communication via satellite transmission; support complex systems installations.
• Monitor iDirect TDMA equipment configurations and network performance in real time.
• Prepare reports on network utilization and performance.
• Open and track trouble tickets via Remedy to resolve issues.
• Provide status reports to customers and management.
