Job summary

Alene Candles is seeking a Sample Lab Technician to handle daily production and documentation of samples, color mixing, batch testing, and related lab duties. You will report to the Sample Lab Manager and work onsite at our New Albany, OH location.

The role emphasizes accurate color matching, adherence to safety practices, and coordination with the Lab team to meet customer requirements. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• 6+ months of relevant technical training or work experience.

Responsibilities

• Review sample production schedule and follow direction to produce samples meeting quality and delivery requirements.
• Read work orders/formulas to determine materials and quantities; organize components.
• Develop color mixing expertise to produce samples matching Pantone colors specified by customer.
• Plan daily activity to assist in producing lab samples for customers.
• Report sample production issues to the Sample Lab Supervisor to avoid delays.
• Maintain the lab in a neat, orderly condition and follow safety procedures.
• Possibly assist with receiving/logging samples and ensuring SDS for items used in the lab.
• Operate and maintain lab equipment for NIR analysis and data reporting.
