Job summary

Alene Candles is seeking an Associate Analytical Chemist in New Albany, OH to support R&D through hands-on analytical testing of materials and formulations for candles and fragrance products. You will work with GC-MS, ICP-MS, and NIR to analyze samples, draft technical reports, and help transfer processes to manufacturing.

Ideal candidates have chemistry degrees and 3+ years in a lab, with strong documentation skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Chemistry with 3+ years lab experience preferred.
• Hands-on analytical lab experience with GC-MS/ICP-MS/NIR is ideal.
• Ability to document results and generate technical reports.

Responsibilities

• Design and perform chemical/physical tests for fragrance product R&D.
• Calibrate and maintain analytical instruments; troubleshoot issues.
• Review SDS for formulations and ensure safety/regulatory compliance.
• Draft reports and graphs documenting experimental results.
• Train lab staff and maintain a clean, compliant facility.
