Job summary

PRIDE Industries is seeking a Site Safety Manager in California to lead safety and environmental programs at a specific worksite. You will ensure compliance with OSHA and related regulations, develop training, and guide staff to maintain a safe work environment.

This exempt, onsite role requires 5+ years of safety experience, bilingual English/Spanish may be required, and strong communication skills to partner with teams, customers, and leadership to achieve safety goals and efficient contract

Qualifications

• Five+ years of safety/health/environmental experience in site-specific operations.
• Bi-lingual English and Spanish may be required depending on site.
• OSHA 10, CPR/First Aid, forklift trainer and HAZWOPPER certifications desired.
• Ability to interpret laws, regulations and policies.
• Knowledge of Workers' Compensation and Insurance Loss Run information.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to present to management and staff.
• Proficient computer skills in MS Office and presentation software.

Responsibilities

• Inspect workplaces for safety, health and environmental compliance.
• Develop and deliver safety training and ergonomics programs.
• Supervise staff and manage performance and development.
• Maintain relationships with customers and ensure contract safety performance.
• Conduct Job Safety Analysis and identify hazards.
• Coach employees on PPE use and safe work practices.
• Provide reports to Site Safety Director and support investigations of incidents.
• Maintain safety program records and prepare data for reports.
• Lead safety meetings and assist department managers to reach safety goals.
