Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Safety Specialist to administer onsite safety, health, and environmental requirements during installation and sustaining activities. The role emphasizes problem solving, audits, incident investigations, and training delivery to promote a culture of safety excellence.

Based in Boise, ID, this contract-to-hire position includes extensive safety program development and collaboration with operations, customers, and contract personnel.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of EHS experience in manufacturing or construction.
• Experience creating safety plans and SOPs.
• Participation in multiple safety audits.
• OSHA 10 certification required.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and compliance.
• Experience with contractors and construction safety.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and implement health and safety policies and procedures.
• Investigate serious incidents and near misses and report findings.
• Conduct worksite safety inspections and identify hazards.
• Provide safety training programs and coordinate training for first aid and CPR.
• Maintain safety records and prepare regulatory reports.
• Coordinate safety training with customers and contract personnel.
