Job summary

Miller Electric Company is seeking a Safety Coordinator in Orlando, FL to maintain a safe workplace and ensure OSHA compliance. The role will be hands-on, interacting daily with field personnel and management to drive safety program execution and field supervision.

The ideal candidate will have experience with safety programs for electrical contractors, along with communication skills to train groups and review safety processes across projects.

Qualifications

• OSHA 30 certification required and must be current.
• First Aid, Narcan, Bloodborne Pathogens, CPR, and AED training required.
• NFPA 70E and LOTO experience required.
• Understanding of Workers’ Compensation concepts.
• Strong technical writing ability.
• Ability to train groups of 25-30.
• Ability to adapt to changing environments.
• Independent work with minimal daily direction.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with teams to ensure compliance with regulations and policies.
• Provide technical expertise to establish safe work practices.
• Plan and conduct periodic and unscheduled safety surveys and inspections.
• Conduct hazard analyses of project operations.
• Assist in updating the safety manual and documentation.
• Develop risk assessments and Job Task Analyses for tasks.
• Coordinate safety training and promote safety awareness.
• Assist in safe placement and job assignment of personnel.
• Maintain accident record keeping and investigations.
• Support corrective actions to improve safety performance.
