Job summary

Miller Electric Company in Tampa, FL is seeking a Site Safety Manager to oversee OSHA compliance on electrical contracting projects, including data centers. The role is hands-on, interacting with field personnel and management, and reports to the Senior Safety Manager.

Ideal candidates have a BCSP credential or degree in safety, OSHA 30 cert within the last 3 years, and 3+ years of electrical contractor safety experience, with strong technical writing and training abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in occupational health & safety or BCSP credential.
• 3+ years overseeing electrical contractor safety on healthcare or data center projects.
• OSHA 30-hour certification within the past 3 years.
• Understanding of Workers’ Compensation.
• Strong technical writing ability.
• Ability to train groups of 25–30.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with teams to ensure compliance with regulations, standards, and procedures.
• Provide technical guidance to managers on eliminating hazards and unsafe behaviors.
• Plan and conduct site surveys and inspections of Miller Electric projects.
• Conduct hazard analyses of project operations.
• Assist in updating and maintaining the safety manual.
• Develop and conduct risk assessments and Job Task Analyses.
• Coordinate safety training and promote safety awareness across the company.
• Assist in accident record keeping and investigations.
