Job Description

We are looking for a Safety Coordinator for our upcoming peak season. This position is scheduled to last until the end of the year, but it can extend depending on the company's needs.

Schedule: 3:00pm - 11:30pm

For training, the schedule will be mornings 5:30am - 2:30pm until the night shift opens, then it will transition to the regular schedule.

Job Overview:
  1. Developing and implementing safety programs to minimize risks and hazards.
  2. Conducting regular safety inspections and audits to assess workplace conditions.
  3. Ensuring compliance with OSHA, federal, state, and local safety regulations.
  4. Training employees on safety procedures, accident prevention, and emergency response.
  5. Investigating accidents and incidents to determine causes and prevent future occurrences.
  6. Maintaining safety records and compiling reports on workplace safety performance.
  7. Providing guidance on minimizing hazards and improving safety measures.
  8. Organizing safety committee meetings and collaborating with management on safety-related issues.
  9. Ordering and maintaining safety equipment to ensure proper availability and functionality.
Qualifications:
  • Fluent in Spanish
  • Experience in safety management
  • Public speaking skills, including the ability to present safety meetings to large groups
  • Knowledge of injury reporting procedures
