Job Description

We are seeking a Safety Coordinator for our upcoming peak season. This temporary position is scheduled to last until the end of the year, with potential for extension based on the company's needs.

Schedule: 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm

Training will occur in the mornings from 5:30 am to 2:30 pm until the night shift begins, after which schedules will transition accordingly.

Job Overview:

• Develop and implement safety programs to minimize risks and hazards.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to assess workplace conditions.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, federal, state, and local safety regulations.
• Train employees on safety procedures, accident prevention, and emergency response.
• Investigate accidents and incidents to determine causes and prevent future occurrences.
• Maintain safety records and compile reports on workplace safety performance.
• Provide guidance on hazard minimization and safety improvements.
• Organize safety committee meetings and collaborate with management on safety issues.
• Order and maintain safety equipment to ensure availability and functionality.

Qualifications:

• Fluent in Spanish
• Experience in safety preferred
• Excellent public speaking skills, capable of presenting safety meetings to large groups
