Job summary

Martin Marietta is seeking a maintenance technician to perform safe repair, planned and preventative maintenance of rock crusher machines and fixed plant equipment at our Texas operating sites.

You will inspect equipment, diagnose malfunctions, and develop repair plans to keep systems running safely. The role requires reading blueprints, applying mechanical theory, and adhering to OSHA/MSHA standards.

Qualifications

• Vocational training or equivalent experience required.
• Minimum 1+ year related maintenance experience.
• Solid knowledge of mechanical systems, blueprints and safety regulations (OSHA/MSHA).
• Ability to read mechanical diagrams and use design tools.
• Strong problem solving and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspects mechanical equipment to ensure it remains functional and up to code.
• Determines reasons for malfunctions and creates a maintenance/repair plan.
• Repairs mechanical equipment to full operating capacity with supervision.
• Tests systems to ensure safety and component compatibility.
• Keeps records of maintenance and repairs, including parts used.
• Ensures routine maintenance is performed on schedule to reduce risk and costs.
• Participates in mechanical field projects as needed.
• May take on additional tasks to support team operations.
