Job summary

Hai Robotics seeks a Resident Service Engineer (Onsite) to support automation systems and manufacturing processes in customers' facilities. You will troubleshoot production issues, configure firmware, and drive continuous improvements across hardware, software, and process domains.

The role requires 5+ years in robotics or related engineering, with hands-on wiring, PLC, SolidWorks, and CAD skills, plus experience with WMS/WES/WCS integrations. Travel is 5–10% for on-site support.

Qualifications

Engineering degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.
At least 5 years in mechanical or electrical engineering within robotics, AGV/AMR or automotive sectors.
Familiar with machining processes, materials, tolerances, and mechanical principles.
Experience with robot communication protocols (Ethernet, CAN, 485).
SolidHands-on assembly and wiring; proficient in SolidWorks, CAD, EPLAN.

Responsibilities

Configure firmware for hardware components (robots, conveyors, servers, scanners).
Provide ongoing support and maintenance for robotics systems during and after deployment.
Assist in production improvements and new product introductions.
Develop SOPs for products and production equipment.
Support NPI trials and verification of new materials/processes.
Collaborate in software testing and integration of HAIQ-Warehouse Management System.
