Job summary

Neuromorphic is building autonomous robots for scientific laboratories and is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to own building, integrating, and deploying these systems at customer sites across the United States.

You will work directly with the founders, moving between the workshop and customer laboratories to turn prototypes into reliable working robots. Strong CAD, electronics, and hands-on deployment experience are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Built and debugged a physical robotic or electromechanical system end to end.

Responsibilities

• Design and fabricate hardware: create grippers, camera mounts, fixtures in CAD; prototype with 3D printing and machining.
• Build and integrate systems: assemble robotic arms, mobile platforms, sensors, compute, networking, and power electronics.
• Deploy at customer laboratories: installation, testing, and handover; adapt to workspace constraints and workflows.
• Resolve failures across the stack: diagnose mechanical alignment, camera calibration, wiring, networking, and software issues.
• Improve the next deployment: document hardware changes, tests, and maintenance procedures.
