Job summary

Life Care Centers of America is seeking an RN Infection Preventionist to oversee infection prevention and control at our Athens, Tennessee facility. You will collect and analyze HAI/CAI data, present findings to leadership, and recommend actions to safeguard residents and staff.

Requirements include an active RN license in TN, CPR certification, and specialized IPC training. Prior geriatrics experience is preferred; TB nurse certification may be needed per state guidelines.

Qualifications

• RN with nursing diploma required (associates or BSN).
• Active RN license in Tennessee. CPR certification required.
• Specialized Infection Prevention and Control training or orientation provided.
• Geriatrics experience preferred; TB nurse certification per state may be required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate infection control quality and outcomes for HAI/CAI.
• Collect, analyze, and present HAI data; advise on corrective actions.
• Monitor compliance with infection control standards on site.
• Provide education to staff, residents, and families.
• Develop and oversee Antibiotic Stewardship Program.
