Job summary

Empire Homes in Austin, TX seeks a Construction Manager to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of residential projects on-site. You will manage budgets, schedules, and resources while ensuring safety and code compliance.

Collaborate with trade partners, homeowners, and the sales team to uphold quality standards; lead a team, handle punch lists, warranty work, and vendor communications to keep homes on schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma; bachelor’s degree in related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of residential construction and customer service experience; City of Austin experience is a plus.
• Strong customer services skills, problem solving and organizational time management skills, with an eye for detail and accuracy.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; demonstrated ability to collaborate and manage relationships.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction of multiple homes from site preparation to closing while ensuring quality control and adherence to schedules.
• Communicate with vendors, trade partners, and subcontractors to confirm schedules, validate work, and resolve issues.
• Maintain a safe and organized work site, enforcing safety policies and adhering to OSHA regulations.
• Oversee project compliance with plans, specifications, industry standards, and codes, and manage material orders and inspections.
• Foster positive relationships with homeowners, team members, and trade partners, handling customer service and warranty requests.
• Prepare and manage punch lists, warranty work orders, and ensure tasks are completed to satisfaction.
