Job summary

Rutgers University is seeking a Research Nurse Clinician in the Department of Medicine- Global Tuberculosis Institute (GTBI) within Rutgers New Jersey Medical School (NJMS).

The Research Nurse Clinician will serve as the primary clinical resource for the assigned research studies, ensuring integrity and quality of clinical trials and protecting participant welfare under IRB and institutional policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing is required.
• Minimum of two years of clinical nursing experience in a hospital, clinic, or similar health care setting.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care to research study patients and ensures protocol compliance at each subject visit.
• Performs medical tests (vital signs, imaging, ECG) and documents findings accurately.
• Administers investigational medications and monitors for adverse events with PI oversight.
• Supports recruitment by documenting medical history and eligibility.
