Job summary

Cura-Hospitality is seeking an experienced registered dietitian to join our healthcare team in Pittsburgh. You will assess nutritional needs, initiate interventions, and enhance residents’ quality of life in alignment with goals.

You will educate staff, adhere to practice standards, and collaborate across departments to improve dining services and nutrition programs. This full-time onsite role supports John J. Kane communities.

Qualifications

• Must pass the national examination by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or eligible.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education every five years.
• Licensed or certified per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards for comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others about nutrition and dietetics.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional expertise to the health care team and educate patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Follow the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
• Interact with other departments to set up procedures and policies related to dining service and nutrition.
• Participate in the development, review, and revision of continuous quality improvement programs.
