Job summary

Brenntag North America, Inc. in Reading, PA is seeking a Transportation & Fleet Manager to own regional transportation and logistics execution onsite.

You will oversee fleet maintenance, driver qualification, and timely deliveries across the region, working closely with the distribution center and customer service to keep product flowing. The role requires hands-on leadership of a driver team, knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations and hazmat requirements, and a strong safety mindset.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience managing a fleet and a driver team, ideally in chemical, hazmat, or other regulated freight
• Track record leading regional transportation and logistics execution, including routing, carrier coordination, and on-time delivery
• Working knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations and hazmat transport requirements
• Onsite presence at Reading, PA facility to manage day-to-day operations and safety

Responsibilities

• Own the daily execution: vehicles maintained and ready, drivers qualified and compliant, and deliveries out the door and across the region on time
• Direct daily dispatch, routing, and vehicle assignments to hit service and cost targets across regional lanes
• Coordinate the company fleet with LTL, dedicated, and outside carriers to flex with regional demand and peak volume
• Track on-time delivery and other regional service metrics and act on what the numbers show
