Job summary

Conviva Senior Primary Care is seeking a Referral and Scheduling Coordinator to manage patient scheduling and pre-registration for exams and procedures with external specialists. You will communicate prep instructions to patients and referring providers, while interpreting policies within defined parameters.

The role is patient facing, part of Humana’s TB screening program, and reports to the Medical Referrals Supervisor. Onsite work in New Smyrna Beach, FL with some travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years hands-on referral healthcare experience in a clinical setting (Medicare population preferred).
• Proficient with medical terminology.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records.
• Excellent professional communication abilities at all levels within the organization and with patients.
• Role is patient facing and part of the TB screening program. TB screening required if selected.
• Passionate about contributing to an organization focused on improving consumer experiences.

Responsibilities

• Schedules and pre-registers patients for exams and procedures with outside specialists and providers.
• Gathers and communicates all preparation instructions to patients and referring providers.
• Interprets area/department policies to complete assignments within defined parameters.
• Works under minimal direction with some latitude over prioritization and timing.
