Job summary

Watco Transloading LLC in Louisiana is seeking a Roadmaster to lead railroad track infrastructure, supervise the Team Members who inspect, repair, and maintain track, and oversee daily work plans to maximize train operations.

In this onsite role you will manage plans, budgets, and asset utilization, coordinate with the General Manager, and mentor staff while ensuring CFR 49 Part 213/214 compliance and a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years track maintenance and supervisory experience.
• Ability to read safety rules and maintenance instructions.
• Strong leadership and team development skills.
• Valid driver’s license and insurability to operate company vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Lead inspection, repair, and maintenance of railroad track infrastructure.
• Develop work plans and budgets with the General Manager and other departments.
• Ensure safety standards and regulatory compliance to maximize efficiency.
• Supervise contractors and track inspectors to meet company policy.
• Oversee asset utilization and performance appraisals for personnel.
• Hire and onboard Team Members; provide training and career development.
• Respond to accidents, incidents, or emergencies and read technical documents.
