Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories seeks a R&D S&E Microwave & Sensor Engineer to design, analyze, and integrate advanced radar systems. You will contribute to concepts, modeling, and hardware development in a dynamic, mission-driven environment.

The role requires expertise in RF, DSP, and MATLAB/C/C++, with experience in embedded software and hardware design. Onsite work and travel may be involved, and security clearances are a consideration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline; capable of independent R&D.
• Ability to obtain DOE Q clearance and possibly SCI clearance, potentially with polygraph.
• Graduate degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred; independent research experience.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, and develop radar systems, subsystems, and modules.
• Develop Concepts of Operation.
• System-level design and integration.
• Develop test and qualification plans.
• Develop models for computational analysis of systems and processes.
• Lead or support formal program reviews.
• Negotiate technical and programmatic requirements with customers.
• Deliver hardware within schedule and budgetary constraints.
