Job summary

Advantage Technical is seeking a hands-on R&D Engineering Technician to support product development through test method development, mechanical testing, and design verification activities in a fully onsite Maple Grove, MN environment.

The role emphasizes laboratory testing, data collection, and collaboration with engineering teams to ensure compliant, reliable performance across our regulated manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree or equivalent related experience.
• Minimum of 1 year of engineering, laboratory, testing, or manufacturing experience.
• Experience with test method development and mechanical testing.
• Hands‑on experience using Instron testing equipment
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and data collection skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with engineers and cross‑functional teams
• Experience with design verification testing preferred

Responsibilities

• Develop, execute, and refine mechanical test methods for product evaluation and verification
• Perform design verification testing and analyze test results
• Set up, operate, and maintain testing equipment and pilot production systems
• Collect, measure, and document process and performance data
• Analyze test results and provide feedback to engineering teams
• Support process development, equipment validation, and scale-up activities
• Troubleshoot testing equipment and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and reliability
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with quality system requirements
