Job summary

Rust Belt Recruiting is seeking a Quality Manager for an onsite role in the Cleveland, Ohio area. You will own shop-floor and system-level quality across the manufacturing lifecycle, including FAIs/FAIRs, PPAPs, and customer communications.

The role requires 2+ years in quality management in precision manufacturing (aerospace, medical, or general). You will lead continuous improvement, manage MRB, supplier quality, and maintain the QMS with AS9100/ISO 9001 standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of quality management experience in a precision manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on inspection with First Article (FAI) and in-process inspection techniques.
• Knowledge of AS9100/ISO 9001 and internal auditing procedures.
• Root-Cause Analysis using 5 Why and Fishbone methodologies.
• Experience with Net-Inspect, DISCUS, and ERP platforms (E2 or similar).
• Strong customer and supplier management and MRB dispositions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day shop-floor quality and ensure AS9100 and customer-specific compliance.
• Perform, review, balloon, and submit FAIs/FAIRs and PPAPs and maintain data accuracy in Net-Inspect and E2 ERP.
• Lead MRB process, dispositions of nonconforming materials, and corrective actions.
• Manage supplier quality performance, ASL, supplier certifications, and outside processors.
• Coordinate technical communications with customers regarding quality concerns and audits.
• Maintain and audit the Quality Management System (QMS) including KPIs and calibration schedules.
• Update routings and inspection documentation to reduce scrap and drive continuous improvement.
