Job summary

Boutique Recruiting seeks an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to lead quality operations in a high-precision manufacturing environment. This hands-on role oversees inspections, supplier quality, corrective actions, and a team of inspectors while collaborating with shop supervisors to maintain exceptional standards without sacrificing throughput.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of quality management in aerospace, ordnance, medical device, or high-precision manufacturing.
• Degree required with demonstrated experience leading quality operations in a complex environment.
• Hands-on inspection experience with advanced blueprint reading and GD&T.
• Experience with ANSI dimensional and tolerancing standards.
• Knowledge of nonconforming materials, recalls, and corrective actions.
• Ability to train junior inspectors and set clear quality expectations.
• Technical aptitude with ERP, Microsoft 365, and inspection software.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day quality assurance and inspection activities across the facility.
• Manage, train, and develop a team of quality inspectors on the production floor.
• Inspect incoming materials, machined components, and finished products.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and tolerances.
• Own nonconformance, recall, and corrective action processes.
• Develop and implement a supplier rating system with vendors.
• Collaborate with operators and supervisors to resolve quality issues and improve throughput.
• Maintain quality documentation and support ISO 9000 requirements.
