Job summary

Paleovalley and Wild Pastures is hiring a Quality Control Technician to serve as the onsite Quality & Food Safety representative at our warehouse. You will conduct inspections, manage holds, collect samples, and maintain QA records in our systems while partnering with the quality team to uphold FDA/USDA requirements.

The role requires 3+ years in food quality control, strong GMP knowledge, and independent work in a warehouse setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• 3+ years in food quality control or QA in regulated environments.
• Solid knowledge of GMPs and food safety standards.
• Ability to apply SOPs and escalate when needed.
• Strong analytical and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine quality inspections of incoming, stored, and outbound products.
• Collect samples and coordinate lab testing as needed.
• Initiate quality holds for nonconforming product and document decisions.
• Maintain records in Acumatica and other systems with accuracy.
• Monitor GMPs, sanitation, pest control, and temperature controls.
• Support traceability, recalls, and corrective actions as directed.
• Identify trends and propose improvements to QA processes.
• Escalate elevated-risk FSQA matters to supervisor when needed.
