Job summary

Paleovalley is seeking a Quality Control Technician to serve as the on-site Quality & Food Safety representative at the Marysville warehouse. You will ensure products are received, stored, and shipped in accordance with quality standards and FDA/USDA requirements.

Working with the Quality & Food Safety team, you will perform inspections, maintain records, initiate holds, and help identify trends to strengthen onsite processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• 3+ years in food quality control or related regulated setting.
• Strong knowledge of GMPs and FDA/USDA requirements.
• Ability to apply specifications and SOPs independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine quality and food safety inspections of incoming, stored, returned, and outbound products and shipments.
• Collect samples and coordinate laboratory testing.
• Manage nonconforming product and quality holds, documenting actions.
• Maintain quality records in Acumatica and other approved systems.
• Support traceability, recalls, audits, and investigations as needed.
• Monitor GMPs, sanitation, and temperature controls in the warehouse.
• Escalate elevated-risk issues to supervisor and implement approved changes.
