Job summary

Paleovalley and Wild Pastures in Columbus, Ohio seek a hands-on Quality Control Technician to serve as the primary onsite Quality & Food Safety resource at the warehouse, ensuring inspections, records, and product handling meet FDA and USDA requirements.

You will perform routine inspections, collect samples, manage nonconformances and holds, support traceability and audits, document trends, and collaborate with the Quality & Food Safety team to strengthen processes and compliance across

Qualifications

• 3+ years in food quality control or related regulated environment.
• Strong knowledge of GMPs and FDA/USDA requirements.
• Ability to independently apply specs, SOPs, and quality standards.
• Detail-oriented with strong documentation and communication.
• Experience with traceability, recalls, and corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary onsite Quality & Food Safety resource for the assigned warehouse.
• Perform routine inspections of incoming, stored, returned, and outbound products.
• Collect samples and coordinate laboratory testing when needed.
• Initiate holds for nonconforming product and coordinate with supervisor on disposition.
• Maintain Quality records in Acumatica and other approved systems.
• Support traceability, mock recalls, recalls, and audits.
• Elevate gaps in quality or food safety to ensure timely remediation.
